Waste Exemption Deadline has passed! - 1 Mar 2008

Please note that the Environment Agency deadline to submit your Agricultural Waste Exemption forms has passed.

The waste exemption forms are compulsory for every farming business, however big or small. You can obtain one from the Environment Agency by telephone or website, or from our office (ask to speak to a member of the rural team).

The form covers exemptions such as re-using waste, buring of wood and hedge trimmings, and dredging ditches.

For those who use road planings there is an extra single sheet form to be submitted that means you do not have to pay for a licence to import road planings for farm use. This form IS NOT included in the pack the Environment Agency send you.

Hardcore such as you might import from a local building project or railway site MUST have an exemption registered, and needs to be used within 6 months, even though the licence to import lasts 12 months.

There is a register of holding numbers, eventually the Environment Agency will start to visit those who have not submitted an exemption form.
